Welcome to the DreamHack Qualifier 1

Please follow all site procedures, including but not limited to: 
Report the results of your match in the UGC Esports Discord after your series has concluded.

Your team must be available and ready to play at the start of each round. If your previous round is still being played, it is the responsibility of the team running behind schedule to notify a UGC admin to extend a grace period before disqualification for late arrival.

Roster Lock
You must play with the players on your roster at the time you enter the tournament. Roster lock will occur on the day of the tournament at 10:00 AM Central Time, two hours before the tournament starts. Any substitutions or changes to your roster made after the roster lock will result in a loss of seeding position for that tournament. Once you join the tournament, the only way to change your lineup or enact a substitution is to go through a UGC admin. Again, these changes need to be made prior to the roster lock to retain your seeding position for that tournament.
Substitutions:
- Each team is allowed one (1) substitution per tournament. 
- The substitution must be on the team’s roster, or they will be considered ineligible.
- You are only able to enact a substitution BEFORE THE ROSTER LOCK for each tournament. 
- If you are caught playing with someone who is NOT on your roster or is an eligible member, your team will be disqualified from that tournament.
Delays
The UGC will not tolerate tournament delays in any capacity. We will do our best to enact fair judgment on any reasonable delay placed on the tournament as long as a competitor(s) contact and notify a UGC admin.

If you are still in a series and don’t think you will make the next round start time, please contact a UGC admin and inform them.

UGC maintains a zero-tolerance policy on the purposeful delay of a tournament
You have 15 mins from the time the round starts to start your game in the series. 
If your team is not prepared by 20 mins to play, your team will be penalized. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Penalties are as follows:
First offense: (15 mins after start time) Forfeit Game 1 
Second offense: (20 mins after start time) Forfeit Game 2
Third offense: (25 mins after start time) Forfeit Series


Host:
Best-of-five (BO5):
The host will be determined by the current seeding placement for the tournament.

Game 1: Higher seed

Game 2: Lower seed
Game 3: Higher seed
Game 4: Lower seed
Game 5: Higher seed



Party Privacy:
It is the responsibility of the team hosting a game to make sure the party is set to invite-only. 
If players join your match and you are the hosting team, you will be penalized. 

First Offense: Warning by UGC admin
Second Offense: The hosting team will forfeit the map
Third Offense: The hosting team will forfeit the series
Connection Issues:
If a player lags out during the first 30 seconds or before the first kill, the map should be ended and restarted. If a player lags out after the first kill or first 30 seconds, the game shall continue. The player may rejoin the current game. 

DO NOT end the game if you have a player lag out after 30 seconds have passed in-game, or the first kill has occurred. If the other team can prove that the host is unplayable, it will be up to the UGC admin overseeing the event to make a decision to play or switch hosts. 



Restarts:
For all game modes, the hosting team is responsible for starting the games with the correct settings. If the game is started with incorrect settings, or the map isn't correct, the hosting team will be penalized. 

Restart penalties are as follows:
First Offense: Warning by UGC admin
Second Offense: The hosting team will forfeit the map
Third Offense: The hosting team will forfeit the series



Cheating:
All accusations of cheating or violation of any of the listed rules require proof from the accusing party. UGC admins will make the best judgment around accusations of cheating to enforce any penalties and to make the best-informed decision. The burden of proof is on the accusing party. We highly suggest that as many players as possible take pictures/screenshots and/or videos of their matches to support their claims. If no proof can be provided of a cheating accusation, the results of the match will stand.


Disqualification:
Any and all disqualifications are at the sole discretion of the UGC admin overseeing the tournament.
Bracket

The first bracket will be randomly seeded. Every bracket to follow will be seeded by a running total of the above events and the previous week(s) points. See Points tab for a breakdown.

3-4th = 70 pts
5-8th = 40 pts
9-16th  = 30 pts
17-32 = 20 pts
