Halo Classic AC rules





Tournament Dates: 



  • Saturday, August 3rd
  • Saturday, August 10th
  • Saturday, August 24th






  • Start Time: 12:00pm Central/ 1pm Eastern





    Format: 

    • 4v4
    • Single Elimination 
    • 64 teams
    • BO5




    Roster Lock: 

    You must play with the players on your lineup at the time you enter the tournament. Roster Lock is the day prior to the tournament at noon central. If any substitutions or changes to your lineup need to be made, this will need to be done prior to roster lock. Any subs or changes to your lineup made after roster lock will result in a loss of seeding position for that tournament. Once you join the tournament, the only way to change your lineup or enact a substitution is to go through a UGC admin. Again, these changes need to be made prior to roster lock to retain your seeding position for that tournament. 





    Subs:

    • Each team is allowed 1 substitution per tournament. 
    • The sub MUST be on the team’s roster, or they are considered an ineligible sub. 
    • If you are caught playing with someone who is NOT on your roster or is an INELIGIBLE MEMBER of your team, your team will be disqualified from that day’s tournament.




    Delays: Let’s keep it fair for everyone. 

    • There will be absolutely NO delaying in the tournament. 
    • You have 15 mins from the time the tournament/round starts to start your game in the series. 
    • If your team is not prepared by 20 mins to play, your team will be penalized. ZERO EXCEPTIONS
    Penalties are as follows

    • First offense- (15 mins after start time) Forfeit Game 1 
    • Second offense- (20 mins after start time) Forfeit Game 2
    • Third offense- (25 mins after start time) Forfeit Game 3 (it is BO5 this means you will forfeit the series)




    Host: 

    BO5:

    • G1: Higher seed
    • G2: Lower seed
    • G3: Higher seed
    • G4: Lower seed
    • G5: Higher seed




    Party Privacy: 

    • It is the responsibility of the team hosting a game to make sure the party is set to invite only. 
    • If players join your match and you are the hosting team, you will be penalized. 

      • First Offense: Warning by UGC admin
      • Second Offense: The hosting team will forfeit the map
      • Third Offense: The hosting team will forfeit the series




    Connection Issues:  

    • If a player lags out during the first 30 seconds or before the first kill the map should be ended and res
    ATTENTION: 

    Please follow all on-site procedures, including but not limited to: 

    • Report the results of your series in the UGC esports discord (link below) after your series has concluded.
    • Your team must be available and ready to play at the start of each round. If your previous round is still being played, it is up to you to let tournament staff know so they can hold off the next round.
    • Follow all rules in the rules tab of the tournament
    • If you have an issue you cannot solve, ping us in the official UGCesports discord.

    • UGC admins are available at most times
    • Find your opponents in the Voice channels for match disputes
    • Admins can answer any questions you may have 
    • Recruiting for substitutes (Not to be done during a live tournament)
    • If a player lags out after the first 30 seconds or the first kill the map will continue and the player who dropped may rejoin the game. 
    • If the other team can prove that the host is unplayable, it will be up to the UGC admin overseeing the event to make a decision to play it or switch hosts. 




    Restarts: 

    There are no restarts!

    For all game modes, the hosting team is responsible for starting the games with the correct setting(s). If the game is started with incorrect settings, or the map isn't correct, the hosting team will be penalized. 

    Those penalties are as follows:

    • First Offense: Warning by UGC admin
    • Second Offense: The hosting team will forfeit the map
    • Third Offense: The hosting team will forfeit the series




    Cheating: 

    All accusations of cheating or violation of any of the listed rules require proof for Support Staff to enforce any penalties and to make the best-informed decision. The burden of proof is on the accusing party. We highly suggest that as many players as possible take pictures/screenshots and/or videos of their matches. If no proof can be provided of a cheating accusation, the results of the match will stand.





    Disqualification:  Any and all disqualifications are at the sole discretion of the UGC Admin overseeing the tournament. (Eric or RJ)





    Bracket: The first bracket will be random seeded, each online tournament thereafter will be seeded based on the previous weeks’ overall point standings. The points will be awarded as follows,





    Points Breakdown: 

    • 1st = 150 pts
    • 2nd = 100 pts
    • 3-4th = 70 pts
    • 5-8th = 40 pts
    • 9-16th  = 30 pts
    • 17-32 = 20 pts
    • 33rd-64th= 10pts

    The settings will follow MLG v8, the competitive standard for Halo 3
